Post-Jam Version 1
We don't have many updates planned for the itch version of this game, but I felt the urge to improve on the controls and difficulty ramp. The game has a lot of potential and I didn't feel like the jam version of the game did justice to the finely-tuned controls I had imagined. For anyone who is interested here are some details about the updates since the jam:
- Level Select screen: you can no longer skip levels, and need to beat each level to progress.
- Refined controls: the game is more deterministic and "reliable" now. The jam version could easily be affected by poor frame-rate, and generally lacked some polish in regards to how the character controlled.
- Graceful timing: When the ball enters the zone within which you are able to hit it, the game will momentarily freeze for a period of time (larger time for faster ball speed), generally improving your timing with hitting the ball.
- Added levels: Some levels were added to improve the difficulty curve (and one extra level was added at the end)
Also some minor bugs were fixed that I won't get into detail here. I hope everyone enjoys playing the game. If you have any feedback please don't hesitate to let me know in the comments!
